As many have heard, Drake Hardware & Software along with The New Mix 107.3 have been hosting a student of the week contest. The contest is open to the students in your life (traditional or non-traditional). The reasons the student is nominated could be based on academics, achievements, sports, grades, and/or talents. This could also be for volunteer work, helping family and friends.

This fall's winner was Alle Lozano who was nominated because of her continuous dedication to helping her family and friends. Alle spends many hours helping her father while he is having his dialysis at home. What a wonderful example of our youth today!

Congratulations Alle for your dedication to your family and friends, home and at school!

This spring's winner is Daniel Jones of New London. Daniel has been consistently volunteering since he was around nine years old. Some of examples include, helping his elderly neighbors, playing in his church's praise team band, helping to build a home in Mexico, and volunteering to be the technology assistant at Mt. Pleasant Christian's School. Even throughout volunteering he has maintained a high GPA.

Congratulations Daniel for being a good student along with a great and caring community citizen!
