Since 2005, Drake Hardware & Software’s E-Waste Recycling was extremely successful. By the end of a typical recycling week up to 40,000 pounds of CRT monitors, printers, fax machines, copiers, and other electronic items could be taken to Midwest Electronic Recovery in Walford, Iowa, to be recycled in an environmentally safe and responsible manner.

* A $0.30 fee per pound will be charged for any product with a cathode ray tube including computer monitors and televisions. An average 15” monitor weighs approximately 28 lbs. and will have a $7.00 charge. An average 17” monitor weighs approximately 36 lbs. and will have a $9.00 charge. Monitors and TV’s 19” or larger will have a flat charge of $20.00.

** A $0.20 fee per pound will be charged for products such as printers, fax machines, and copiers. An average small desktop fax machine will have a charge of $5.00.

*** There may be a fee for large items on wheels. Please contact Drake Hardware & Software for more information.
